So, I honestly forgot that I had a blog. It's been that long since I posted. Maybe I will start it back up again. But for the meantime, I have to share my good news about "our little family." We've just grown by one member...our kitten Dexter!!! He is the best ever and we love him so much. After nearly 3 years of marriage we finally have someone to call our own. ;-)

I am looking forward to the new year... as a SWAT team looks at their objectives... 1. Complete the school work. 2. Get out of New Orleans. 3. Stay alive.... But seriously, unlike any other year, i know exactly what is ahead for me. Easy? no... challenging? yep... never really lived like that... but hey, people do it everyday....

Christmastime was wonderful, but it has disappeared again and left me with an overwhelming feeling of, "Okay, now what?" At least Andy and I have our Birthdays to look forward to...then Valentine's, then hopefully some Spring Break/Vacation time...then our anniversary. My how time goes so quickly. We've been married over 5 months now! Yay! Only 7 more and people will stop telling us that the first year of marriage is the hardest. Then they'll move on to asking us when we're going to start a family. Well, I'm just going to tell them that we already are a family. We need a kitty first anyway.

Back into Blogging

One can only assume that a blogger's first love is his first blog. I miss the old, fond days of XANGA. Shame on you Facebook and Myspace for not fulfilling my need for a written outlet designed for daily ramblings. No matter how random or infrequent my posts, I've needed this little space in the world to call my own since Andy and I got married. I'm only assuming that this rose by another name smells just as sweet. So here goes nothing...

Yesterday Andy (over dinner at Chili's of course) refered to us as "our little family." I have thought about that so much since he said it. He's so sweet and I do love our little family.

I just read the biography of Coco Chanel on Wikipedia to prevent falling asleep at work. We had a Christmas party today and I got a Starbucks gift card from my secret santa co-worker. For "yankee swap" a.k.a. "dirty santa," I received a pack of peanut butter crackers--gross. I later exchanged it for an ice cream scoup. It was a very nice ice cream scoup.
